Corinne A. McIntosh recently rejoined the Firm after working for the Firm as an Associate from May 2003 through April 2009. Although her practice is primarily transactional in nature with a focus on business and corporate law and estate planning, she also assists the Firm’s litigation attorneys in the investigation and analysis of complex cases. Prior to joining the Firm in 2003, Ms. McIntosh practiced with the law firm of Johnson & Johnson in Canfield, Ohio.
Ms. McIntosh attended Smith College and graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, concentration in Finance, in 1980. Prior to attending law school, she enjoyed a successful career in financial management and banking.
In 2000, Ms. McIntosh received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Akron School of Law. Graduating in the top 2.6 percent of her class, Ms. McIntosh was the recipient of Corpus Juris Secundum Awards for scholastic excellence in Contracts, Property and Torts as well as CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for excellent achievement in Contracts II, Torts II, Advanced Legal Communications, Legal Profession, and Antitrust Law.
During law school, Ms. McIntosh also served as a staff member of the Akron Law Review and was active in the Law Association for Women. She was the published author of the Comment, "A Current Perspective: The Erosion of Affirmative Action in University Admissions," 32 Akron L. Review 181 (1999) and the Note, "A.E. Staley Manufacturing Co. v. Commissioner: Life After Indopco: Tax Treatment of a Target Corporation’s Unsuccessful Hostile Tender Offer Defense Fees," 31 Akron L. Review 409 (1998).
Ms. McIntosh is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, State Bar of Ohio (inactive), and Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, Savannah Chapter.
In 2007 and 2008, Ms. McIntosh was named a Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star in the practice area of business/corporate law.
Ms. McIntosh has been active in various non-profit and professional organizations. She was a member of a United Way Community Investment Committee for the years 2004 through 2007 and was a Co-Chairperson (2005) and Committee Member (2006 and 2007) for her former neighborhood’s American Cancer Society’s Parties with a Purpose. She continues to be active in the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, Savannah Chapter, where she has served as Treasurer (2007-2008), Vice President (2008-2009), and President-Elect (2009-2010).
