John B. Manly is an associate practicing primarily in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice defense and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Bouhan, Williams & Levy, he served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Augusta Judicial Circuit in Georgia. John is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is admitted to practice before all state trial and appellate courts in Georgia, as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia.
A native Georgian, John graduated from The University of Georgia in 2004 with degrees in Political Science and Religion. He graduated from The University of Georgia School of Law in 2008. During law school, John clerked for Judge Anne E. Barnes of the Georgia Court of Appeals. While at The University of Georgia, he was selected for membership into the Gridiron Secret Society.
In 2012, John was selected as one of Georgia’s “Super Lawyers-Rising Stars” by Atlanta magazine. He is a member of the Executive Council for the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division and a graduate of the Young Lawyers Division’s Leadership Academy. He has also served as an Attorney Coach for the St. Vincent’s Academy High School Mock Trial Team. John was also recently named to the Mayor’s Small Business Council for the City of Savannah.
