September 1, 2011Benjamin W. Karpf has joined Bouhan, Williams & Levy LLP as an associate.
Prior to joining Bouhan, Williams & Levy LLP, Karpf was an associate with Dow Lohnes PLLC, in Washington, DC for several years. His practice focuses on drafting, analyzing and negotiating commercial contracts, including license agreements, IT procurement agreements, services and consulting agreements, and sponsorship and advertising agreements. He also regularly counsels clients on various matters relating to copyright, trademark, technology and media law.
“I’m very excited to return to Savannah and I look forward to raising my family here,” Karpf said. “DC is wonderful, but Savannah is home.”
Karpf was awarded a J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. While there, he was an Annual Survey Editor for The American Criminal Law Review and a board member for the Equal Justice Foundation. Karpf was a legal intern for the Media Access Project and a summer law clerk for the Center for Democracy and Technology, both in Washington, DC.
Prior to his career in law, Karpf was Web Editor for a small national newspaper and Information Technology Director for its non-profit sister organization.
Karpf earned an M.A. in Communication, Culture & Technology from Georgetown University and has a B.A. in English, with a minor in Jazz Studies, from The George Washington University.
