Overview
Jacob (Jake) Saas is a senior associate in Bouhan Falligant LLP’s litigation group, whose practice is focused in the areas of transportation & logistics and medical malpractice. He has extensive experience defending motor carriers and their drivers, as well as medical providers in cases involving catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death. In addition, Jake has experience litigating matters involving construction defects, premises liability, zoning, governmental entities, contract and other commercial disputes, and insurance coverage. He has achieved favorable results in all stages of litigation from pre-suit negotiations and motions practice through trial, as well as appellate practice.
Jake is licensed to practice in all trial courts in the State of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia. Jake is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Savannah Bar Association, the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, and the Georgia Motor Trucking Association, and he currently serves on the executive boards for the Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association and the Coastal Empire Disaster Recovery Committee.
Jake earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2018, where he served as Senior Online Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and was a member of the editorial board. Before law school, he attended Miami University, graduating in 2014 with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in both History and Business. Growing up in the shadows of the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee, Jake obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in 2008 and remains an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan.
Outside of the practice of law, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife, Gracie, and their son, Shepherd. They like to explore the outdoors, try new restaurants, and enjoy all that Coastal Georgia has to offer.
