Bouhan Falligant Partner Selected for State Bar of Georgia Award

Dolly Chisholm, a partner at Bouhan Falligant, was recently selected for the 2015 H. Sol Clark Pro Bono Award from the State Bar of Georgia. The award honors an attorney who has excelled in one or more of a variety of activities that extend legal services to the poor.

Chisholm, who practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and real estate, was recognized for her “professionalism and commitment to, and support for, the delivery of pro bono civil legal services to the poor and underserved in Savannah and surrounding communities.” The H. Sol Clark Award, first awarded in 1983, is named for former Georgia Court of Appeals Judge Clark of Savannah, who is known as the “father of legal aid in Georgia.”

Chisholm is involved in numerous community organizations including the Beehive Foundation, the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, Senior Citizens, Inc., and the Georgia Historical Society. She received the Chief Justice Robert Benham Award for community service in 2001, the Sarah Nichols Pinckney Volunteer Award from the Georgia Historical Society in 2007, and the John B. Miller award from the Savannah Bar Association in recognition for community service in 2009. In 2008, she was named one of Georgia’s “Legal Elite.”

A native of Savannah, Chisholm received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sophie Newcomb College and her J.D. degree from Tulane University.
